Where am I going?
The short answer:  FORWARD.

I am very fortunate to have found a career that forces me to grow and learn every single day.  With each new idea, I feel myself progressing and am inspired by the smallest comment from a student or mini-lesson I observe from a colleague.  Overall, my five years of teaching leads me to a firm belief in holistic education;  as we can't teach students English or mathematics in isolation, we certainly cannot expect to teach an academic student if their social, emotional, behavioral, and basic human needs are met.  For now, I know I have many years ahead of me in the classroom - in a short five years, I've experience being five different teachers and I'm only too aware that with another five years, I will be five steps better for my students.  Teaching is a comfortable, yet challenging niche for me.

My goals in the short term are to work closer with parents/guardians and other stake-holders in my students' lives.  With my recent experience teaching English to non-native speakers and resume-building, I would like to extend my services to parents, family members, and community members.
